Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cylindrical Grinder Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience operating precision grinding equipment. This role involves setting up, programming, and operating cylindrical grinders to produce high-quality components in accordance with technical specifications. The successful applicant will contribute to maintaining efficient production processes and ensuring the highest standards of quality.

Duties

Set up and operate cylindrical grinding machines, ensuring precise specifications are met.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to produce accurate parts.
Program CNC grinders using Fanuc controls and adjust machine parameters for optimal performance.
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on grinding equipment.
Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards and procedures.
Assist with other machining tasks including CNC lathe, milling, or assembly as needed.
Document production activities and ensure compliance with quality control protocols.

Experience

Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating cylindrical grinding machines.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
Strong understanding of precision machining and geometric tolerances.
Experience using precision measuring instruments.
Knowledge of grinding wheel selection and dressing techniques.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
