Full job description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our Indian restaurant team. This hybrid role is essential to keeping the kitchen running smoothly by maintaining cleanliness and assisting with food preparation. Weekend availability is a must, as we specialize in weekend brunch and dinner.

Dishwashing Duties:

Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans by hand
Keep the dishwashing area clean and organized
Take out trash and recycling regularly
Sanitize kitchen surfaces and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
Assist in closing or opening duties as assigned

Prep Cook Duties:

Wash, peel, chop, and slice fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients
Prepare basic items such as batters, sauces etc
Stock and organize prep stations with necessary supplies
Follow food safety and hygiene standards
Assist line cooks as needed during service hours

Qualifications:

Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required — we’re willing to train the right person
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
