Front of House (FOH) Manager @ the Bracebridge Barrelhouse
We are looking for an energetic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about guest service, craft beer and food.
What YOU will be doing:
- Providing exceptional leadership and guidance to FOH staff
- Overseeing day-to-day FOH operations, including the creation and maintenance of operational procedures
- Ensuring FOH staff provide excellent customer service experiences for our guests
- Handling escalated customer complaints and unforeseen challenges
- Hiring, onboarding, training, and creating schedules for the FOH team
- Managing labour costs in accordance with budget requirements
- Monitoring and overseeing sanitation practices to ensure staff strictly adhere to cleanliness standards and health and safety protocols
- Planning and supporting in-house events or promotional nights
- Managing inventory levels for restaurant supplies, placing orders when needed
- Monitoring cash on hand, completing bank withdraws and ensuring correct handling procedures are in place
- Participating member of the Joint Health & Safety Committee
What YOU bring to the table:
- 3+ years of experience as in a FOH supervisory or management role in a restaurant, with a proven ability to lead and inspire a team while remaining calm in a fast-paced environment
- Smart Serve and food safety certification required
- Prud’homme level 1 or other beer certification an asset
- Previous experience working with Toast, Silverware or Clover is an asset
- Proven ability to build rapport and facilitate positive guest experiences
- Friendly, professional and engaging attitude
- A team player who looks for ways to support other coworkers
- Exceptional verbal communication skills
- A passion and enthusiasm for craft beer
Working Conditions:
- Evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts are all part of the gig
- Extended periods of walking and standing
- Ability to lift up to 25kg
