Property Maintenance Crew Lead

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Property Maintenance Crew Lead to join our team. In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee a small crew of maintenance workers, ensure quality standards are met on every job, and serve as the main point of contact on-site. If you are a reliable self-starter who takes pride in your work and enjoys leading a team, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a crew of 2–4 property maintenance workers on daily job sites
- Perform and oversee lawn care including mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing
- Carry out seasonal services such as spring/fall cleanups, mulching, and garden bed maintenance
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment safely and in good working condition
- Ensure all work is completed to Granite Bluff's quality standards and client specifications
- Communicate professionally with property owners and clients as needed on-site
- Complete job checklists, and basic reporting
- Identify and report any property concerns or equipment issues to management
- Support crew training and maintain a safe, positive work environment
- Assist with loading/unloading of equipment and materials
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in property maintenance, landscaping, or a related trade
- Previous crew lead or supervisory experience is strongly preferred
- Valid Ontario driver's licence (G class minimum); clean abstract required
- Ability to operate trailers, zero turn, trimmer, blower
- Physically capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions and performing manual labour
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Excellent time management and the ability to manage daily schedules
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
