Job Description
Diablo Tools Canada Inc. is looking for an Organized, Highly motivated, and Driven Logistics / Supply Chain Recent Graduate with a competitive fire to fill our Inventory Planning Specialist role.
This is a Monday-Friday 40 hours/week on site role working out of the Mississauga, ON location with flexibility to work either shift of 7:00am to 3:30pm or 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Rate of Pay: $24.00/hr to $26.44/hr
Inventory Control (60%)
Assist Inventory Control Team with the following activities:

Prioritize and participate in WMS pick and bulk bin accuracy activities (spot counting, cycle counting, investigation).

Calculate, configure, and maintain pick bin MIN / MAX levels to support efficient fulfillment and replenishment.

Quarantine and inspect goods as required, reporting findings to IC Team and Demand Planning manager.

Conduct bin moves (slotting) and slotting optimization activities in coordination with IC manager.

Create and maintain dedicated pick bins for specific sales channels or programs as directed by Supply Chain (e.g., Ecommerce).

Print and apply barcode labels, other stickers and product packaging as needed.

Weigh and measure items and update ERP a/o WMS accordingly.
Demand Planning (40%)
-
Manage sales forecasts, promotional planning, new product launches in order to constantly update demand patterns in the system and for the suppliers.

Manage planning system parameters to achieve optimal inventory levels allowing for fill rate and service level target achievement in an utmost efficient fashion (SC Cost, capital charge).

Book deliveries (invoices) in SAP and IBM AS400 (ERP).

Constant communication in demand and supply validation meetings with all relevant extended supply chain instances (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Suppliers, 3PL and New Product Development) to balance demand and supply in the global supply chain network.

Daily, weekly and monthly reporting (Service Level 1 Report, Air-Freight Reporting and management, Excess and Obsolete Reporting). Participate in regular S&OP and other meetings to assure constant information sharing and decision making.
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or recent graduate from a logistics / supply chain management related program

Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
1+ years of inventory control or supply chain planning

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to combine reports and derive conclusions from data, print and organize work for team members for special projects

Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve stock discrepancies

Familiar with WMS and comfortable interacting with systems

Strong attention to detail to maintain accuracy during cycle counts and inventory management

Counterbalance forklift, reach truck or other MHE experience preferred

Excellent organizational skills

Demonstrates initiative and responsibility in all tasks in support of department and business goals

Strong team player with proven experience positively interacting across multiple departments

Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks with minimal supervision

Problem solver with good math skills, that can self manage assigned work safely, accurately, and efficiently

Excellent listening skills, with the ability to follow instructions with accuracy

Availability to work periodic overtime including weekends
Physical Requirements

Lift, lower, squat, push, pull items and materials of various sizes, up to and including, 50 lbs.

Walk and stand for prolonged periods of time on warehouse floor
