Driver Job Description
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced AZ Truck Driver to join our team out of our Etobicoke location (43 Bethridge Rd, Etobicoke) and Concord location (300 Connie Crescent, Concord, ON L4K 5R2).
This is a full-time position for drivers with a minimum of 2 years driving experience - flatbed experience or hauling steel an asset. Our routes are within Ontario, ensuring you're home every night and off on weekends.
Position Functions
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and straight trucks to transport steel and related materials.
- Secure cargo using appropriate equipment and methods.
- Manually tarp loads when necessary.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Climb onto trailers and manipulate materials as required.
- Complete Electronic log book, inspection reports, accident / incident reports
- Other duties as assigned
Working Conditions
- The successful incumbent will be working 40+ hours per week operating and driving trucks.
- Drivers are required to safely secure their loads - This is done outdoors, all year round.
- Driving and sitting for extended periods of time.
- Physical requirements include throwing up to 20lbs and lifting up to 75 lbs continuously.
- Climbing including repetitive in and out of truck cab and flatbed.

Required Qualifications
- Valid AZ license - Clean CVOR & Drivers Abstract
- Clean Criminal record check, driving record check, medical exam, drug test
- Manual Transmission experience required
- Must pass a Pre-Employment road test and other pre-employment testing requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, throw up to 20 lbs, and climb on trailers repeatedly
- Ability to work day shift - start times vary day to day
- Sound knowledge of safe driving practices
- Strong work ethic and attention to safety
- Previous experience working hauling flatbed or steel is an asset
