Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement of materials coordinating both company owned transportation as well as third party carriers. This position works closely with sales, operations, warehouse teams, customers, and transportation partners to ensure on time deliveries, resolve service issues, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate is a strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem solving, and can effectively balance multiple priorities while supporting a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Transportation Coordination
- Coordinate daily shipments using both internal fleet and external transportation providers
- Schedule and dispatch delivers to maximize efficiency and service levels
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with third party carriers and transportation partners
- Monitor shipments and proactively communicate delivery updates, delays or issues
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards
- Assist in evaluating carrier performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and service improvements
Customer Service & Problem Resolution
- Serve as a key point of contact for customer delivery inquiries and transportation-related concerns
- Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, delivery issues, and customer complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Provide customers with accurate shipment status updates and delivery information
- Work collaboratively with customers to ensure their expectations are met or exceeded
Sales Team Support
- Partner closely with the sales team to coordinate customer delivery requirements and special requests
- Help resolve customer service issues that may impact account relationships
- Maintain clear communication between sales, operations, and transportation teams
- Support sales initiatives by ensuring reliable and efficient logistics solutions for customers
Organization & Process Improvement
- Maintain accurate shipping records, transportation documentation, and carrier information
- Assist with route planning and delivery scheduling to improve operational efficiency
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, communication, and customer service
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support company growth
