Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Manager to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food service. As a vital part of our restaurant management, the Kitchen Manager will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in food preparation, cooking, and team management to contribute to a thriving hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow
Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food handlers, providing guidance and training as needed
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
Coordinate food service activities to ensure timely delivery of orders
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to prevent shortages
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area according to health standards
Lead by example in serving guests with professionalism and hospitality
Support menu development and contribute creative ideas for new dishes

Experience

Supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred
Proven background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling techniques
Experience managing or leading a team within the food industry or hospitality sector
Familiarity with restaurant management procedures and customer service standards
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively
Previous restaurant experience with a focus on high-quality food service is essential
Knowledge of food industry trends, culinary techniques, and serving standards

This position is ideal for a motivated culinary professional eager to advance their career in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

The incumbent must obtain and maintain approval from the Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority of Manitoba.
