We Can Dig It — Experienced Excavator Operators Wanted

Southwest Excavation is a family-owned company with a strong reputation for quality work across agricultural, residential, and commercial projects. We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator with extensive excavator experience to join our team.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on expertise operating excavators in a variety of applications, along with solid mechanical knowledge and the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments. Experience with additional equipment such as dozers, loaders, and backhoes is considered an asset.

This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects while maintaining a strong focus on precision, productivity, and safety at all times.

What You'll Be Doing

Operate heavy equipment with a primary focus on excavators, along with dozers, loaders, and backhoes, ensuring safe, precise, and efficient operation at all times.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Perform trenching and excavation for underground services
Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and material handling tasks.
Read and follow site drawings and elevations
Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate operations and meet project deadlines.

What You Bring

Extensive, hands-on experience operating heavy construction equipment, with a strong emphasis on excavators, along with dozers, loaders, and backhoes.
Mechanical knowledge related to the maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy machinery.
Familiarity with Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment brands is preferred.
Experience in construction sites or farm machinery operation is advantageous.
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or ability to obtain one is a plus.
Valid AZ driver's license preferred
Prior experience with heavy equipment operation in industrial or farm settings is highly desirable. This position requires a dedicated individual with strong technical skills and a commitment to safety and efficiency on the job site.
