The Opportunity
We are seeking passionate, energetic and experienced Harvest Interns to join our team for the 2026 harvest season from June through mid to late November. This is a unique opportunity to join our internationally award-winning wineries and contribute to the development of Lake Country as a wine region.
Reporting to the Winemaker, the successful candidates will play a key role in supporting the Winemaking Team at both O’Rourke Family Estate and Peak Cellars wineries with the processing of 250-300 tonnes of grapes. We are known for our hand-crafted Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Riesling, as well as Grüner Veltliner, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris and Rosé.

The company also produces a diverse calendar of events and experiences that bring together wine, food, and community, supported by close collaboration across hospitality, culinary, production, and events teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleaning:
Perform daily cleaning tasks, including but not limited to:
· Sanitize high-touch surfaces and restrooms.
· Clean windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and counters as needed.
· Emptying trash and recycling receptacles.
· Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitizing, and polishing all furniture and fixtures in all facilities.
· Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected to facility standards.
· Cleaning, scrubbing, and sanitizing toilets, showers, bathtubs, countertops, and sinks.
· Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen area including all appliances and sinks.
· Sorting, washing, loading, and unloading laundry for guest homes.
· Ironing and steaming of appropriate laundry items for guest homes.
- Keeping all bathrooms stocked with appropriate supplies.
- Tidying up rooms as needed.
Guest- Focused Duties:
· Prepare guest accommodations and event spaces, including making beds, arranging furniture, and setting up amenities as needed.
Inventory and Supplies:
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, toiletries, linens, and towels in all guest homes.
- Notify management of low inventory or equipment requiring repairs.
Collaboration:
· Coordinate with hospitality, events, and kitchen teams to ensure seamless operations.
· Provide updates on completed tasks and areas requiring attention.
· Assist with special event setups and breakdowns as needed.
Health and Safety:
· Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
· Report any hazards, damages, or maintenance issues immediately to the supervisor or manager.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
· Ability to manage time efficiently.
· Work well unsupervised.
· Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during the daily routine, with the ability to stand for long lengths of time.
· Holds or is willing to work towards WHMIS certification.
· Pays attention to detail when cleaning.
· Handle basic maintenance and cleaning.
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
· Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
WORK CONDITIONS:
· Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as overtime from time to time.
· Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during the daily routine, with the ability to stand for long lengths of time.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
