Can you turn complex design ideas into visual stories people immediately understand and remember?
On behalf of our client, Michael Green Architecture (MGA), we are seeking a Graphic Designer to join the Vancouver, BC studio and help shape how one of the world's leading sustainable design practices presents its work, ideas, and impact.
At MGA, architects, designers, and changemakers are tackling some of the most complex challenges facing our built environment. From mass timber innovation and cultural landmarks to Indigenous community projects, hospitality spaces, educational campuses, and civic buildings, their work is grounded in a simple belief: design can create a better future for people and the planet.
As Graphic Designer, you will help bring that work to life. You will create proposals, presentations, publications, campaigns, digital content, and project stories that make ambitious ideas clear, compelling, and unmistakably MGA.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can move comfortably from concept to production. One day you may be supporting the visual narrative for a major pursuit; the next, you may be designing an award submission, social campaign, report, event piece, or leadership presentation. You will collaborate with the Communications Director, Business Development, project teams, and senior leaders while applying MGA’s visual identity consistently across a wide range of materials.
What You'll Do
- Design high-quality proposals, qualifications packages, pitch decks, interview presentations, project sheets, and other business development materials
- Support the Communications Director in creating publications, reports, award submissions, event materials, signage, campaigns, and internal communications
- Develop digital assets for MGA's website, social channels, email communications, and other platforms
- Turn architectural drawings, renderings, photography, research, and technical information into clear visual stories, diagrams, and infographics
- Apply MGA’s visual identity consistently and produce materials using established templates, brand standards, and reusable design tools
- Work with the Communications Director, project teams, and leaders to understand briefs, contribute to visual concepts, incorporate feedback, and deliver polished work on deadline
- Prepare files for print, presentation, and digital use and coordinate with external creative and production partners
- Use approved AI and emerging design tools thoughtfully to improve ideation, production, accessibility, and workflow efficiency
What You'll Bring
- 2+ years of professional graphic design experience and a strong portfolio showing both concept development and production craft
- Post-secondary education in graphic design, communication design, visual communications, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Strong PowerPoint skills and experience creating polished, client-facing presentations
- Excellent typography, editorial layout, information design, and visual storytelling skills
- Experience in architecture, design, engineering, cultural, or another visually driven professional services environment is preferred
- Working knowledge of print production, digital formats, image optimization, and accessibility
- A collaborative, curious approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized and calm when deadlines are tight
- Experience with Figma, web content, motion graphics, video editing, or related digital tools is an asset
- Curiosity and openness to responsibly using AI and emerging design tools to support creative and production workflows
Why MGA?
MGA is a practice built on curiosity, innovation, and the belief that design can create a better future. As Graphic Designer, you will help bring MGA’s work and ideas to life while developing your skills within an internationally recognized design practice.
You'll join a globally recognized studio where sustainability, innovation, and curiosity shape everything they do. Recent work includes a surf pool clubhouse, a Gulf Island hotel, an airport terminal and restaurant, a children's library, headquarters for an electric boat company, a new Ronald McDonald House, and community projects developed alongside First Nations partners.
You will work closely with an experienced Communications Director and collaborate with architects, designers, and project teams across the studio. This is an opportunity to grow your design practice while contributing to meaningful, highly visible work.
MGA offers:
- Competitive salary of $62,000 to $73,000
- Comprehensive benefits package
- MGA's unique Adventure Bonus program
- Meaningful, purpose-driven work
- A collaborative, high-performing team
