As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Sales Team with a primary focus on our US business.
Position Summary
The Customer Service Representative will primarily play a key role supporting Northern Cables’ growing U.S. business across stock and flow distribution, project opportunities, and strategic accounts. The successful candidate will work closely with U.S. sales agents, direct electrical distributors, internal customer service teams, pricing, production planning, and logistics to ensure exceptional customer support and timely execution.
This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day activities of the Sales Team and external sales agent network.
- Prepare quotations, pricing, and product availability information for customers and sales agents.
- Coordinate with production planning and logistics teams to support order execution and delivery timelines.
- Assist with project opportunities including data centers, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
- Manage customer inquiries related to products, lead times, order status, and technical requests.
- Maintain accurate records within various operating systems.
- Monitor customer activity and help identify opportunities for growth within existing and new accounts.
- Work closely with internal teams to resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
- Assist with inventory management and stock availability communication.
- Support vacation and absence coverage within the broader sales and customer service team when required.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to customer service, quoting, and sales support processes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in inside sales, customer service, sales support, or account management.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial products, electrical distribution, wire and cable, or construction-related industries is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with ERP systems is an asset.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing within a team environment.
- Professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of electrical products, wire and cable applications, or electrical distribution markets.
- Understanding of commercial and industrial construction markets.
- Experience working with electrical distributors, contractors, or industrial customers.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with changing demands.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
