Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. This role is ideal for individuals interested in gaining experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality industries. The Kitchen Helper will play a vital role in assisting with food preparation, cleaning, and overall kitchen maintenance to ensure smooth daily operations.

Duties

Assist with basic food preparation and food handling tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen staff
Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and assembling dishes as directed
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment to meet health and safety standards
Ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies, including labeling and rotating stock
Help with dishwashing, sanitation, and waste disposal to uphold hygiene standards
Support serving staff during meal service times when needed
Follow all safety protocols related to food handling and kitchen operations
Assist in setting up dining areas and cleaning after service to prepare for the next shift

Skills

Experience or familiarity with cleaning procedures within a commercial kitchen or restaurant setting
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills
Ability to handle food safely and follow proper hygiene practices
Previous experience in hospitality, hotel, or food service environments is a plus
Strong organizational skills with attention to cleanliness and detail
Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
