Overview

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for food service and team management? As a Shift Manager, you will be the driving force behind smooth daily operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Your energetic approach and leadership skills will ensure exceptional customer experiences, efficient food preparation, and a motivated team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your restaurant management expertise while fostering a positive, productive workplace.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily restaurant operations during your shift, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and customer service are maintained.
Lead and supervise team members, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing coaching to promote teamwork and excellence.
Manage food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, safety, and adherence to recipes and standards.
Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS, including cash handling and balancing registers at shift end.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Assist with interviewing and onboarding new staff members to build a strong, capable team aligned with restaurant goals.
Support restaurant management in inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the establishment.
Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly to deliver outstanding hospitality and foster loyalty.

Experience

Proven supervising experience in a food service or restaurant setting, demonstrating leadership in fast-paced environments.
Extensive food industry knowledge including food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices.
Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms for cash handling and order processing.
Strong background in restaurant management or hospitality roles with an emphasis on team management and customer service excellence.
Previous experience in food handling, serving, or kitchen operations within a restaurant or hotel environment is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to interview candidates effectively and contribute to team development initiatives.
Leadership qualities that inspire motivation, accountability, and continuous improvement among staff members.
