We’re a busy joint with a loyal following and we're looking for an Evening Line Cook who can keep up with the rush and bring the heat when it counts.
Job Summary:
We’re looking for a sharp, reliable Evening Line Cook to join our pit-loving crew. You’ll be responsible for slicing and plating BBQ to order, keeping the line moving during peak hours, and helping with prep and cleanup. If you’ve got a strong work ethic, solid knife skills, and a passion for good BBQ, this is your kind of kitchen.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Slice and plate smoked meats (brisket, ribs, pork, chicken) accurately and quickly during service
- Prep and stock line with sides, sauces, garnishes, and service items before each shift
- Handle meats with care—every slice matters in a Texas-style BBQ joint
- Maintain consistent portioning and plating to meet house standards
- Assist in prepping next-day service needs (chopping slaw, portioning meats, etc.)
- Work clean, stay organized, and follow food safety protocols
- Communicate clearly with the crew and front-of-house during rushes
- Handle closing duties: deep cleaning, restocking, and shutting down the line properly
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 1 year of line cook or BBQ kitchen experience preferred (but we’ll train the right person)
- Familiarity with smoked meats a big plus—especially slicing brisket and ribs
- Must be comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Able to move fast, stay cool under pressure, and work as part of a tight crew
- Solid knife skills, attention to detail, and pride in your plate
- Able to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
