Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations in a vibrant food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a busy cafe, ensure food safety standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Duties

Supervise daily cafe operations, including food preparation, serving, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety
Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and efficient team
Oversee food handling procedures, kitchen operations, and ensure compliance with health regulations
Handle cash transactions accurately using Micros POS systems and manage cash handling procedures
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and optimal customer experience
Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
Interview prospective employees, participate in hiring decisions, and onboard new team members
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the cafe environment in accordance with safety standards
Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction

Skills

Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles, including supervising teams and managing operations
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for cash handling and order processing
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to lead by example in hospitality settings
Effective team management, leadership, and communication abilities
Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training staff within the food industry or hospitality sector
Knowledge of food handling procedures, kitchen operations, and restaurant experience preferred
Background in hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
