Job Description

This position will be responsible for

Perform picking/packing duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
Prepare shipments according to strict stipulations and rules set forth by customers
Schedule and prioritize tasks according to deadlines & urgency
Monitor stock levels and order items that are needed for use in the warehouse, receive the items and verify their quantities.
Load and unload product to and from delivery vehicles, pallets, etc.
Keep customer pick up records to provide verification of shipments
Keep shipment records and reports to guarantee accuracy of inventory.
Co-ordinate and arrange pickups with Canada Post, Purolator, FedEx, UPS and other carriers
Update EDI portals with tracking numbers for shipped items in compliance with the deadlines.
Update stock management system daily with tracking numbers for shipped replacements to provide timely shipment status to customers
Participate in warehouse space management by maintaining a clean work environment in the warehouse, disposal of garbage and cardboard. Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
Upon containers arrival from factory, efficiently offload shipment from the container. Count actual stock data and provide them to accounting department by accurately entering stock level into the stock management system.
Allocate space for storage of newly received shipment/products in the warehouse
Perform inventory adjustment and update on a weekly basis
Update accounting department with inventory adjustment for all item movement which is not moving in/out via standard procedure
Rework and modify different products to fulfill customer’s specifications according to their orders
Carry out firmware updates and testing of products prior to delivery
Create labels and UPC bar codes to be added to products after completing reworks and repackaging
Participate in periodic physical inventories and cycle counts
Check or count products for accuracy and or damage/ infestation
Perform work in a safe and efficient manner
Exchange safety tips with co-workers
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Here’s more about what it’s like inside the warehouse:

Your safety is important to us. You’ll do daily stretching, and share safety tips with co-workers.
You will work around and use moving machines, such as forklifts, turret trucks, order pickers, and mobile carts.
You’ll be on the move for your whole shift. Your shifts will include activities that may require standing in one place for long periods, walking around, or climbing stairs. You will need to wear comfortable, closed-toed shoes.
Even with climate controls, temperatures in some parts of our warehouses may vary between 15°C / 60°F and 32°C / 90°F. Temperatures can go over 32°C / 90°F in the truck yard or inside trailers on hot days.
The dress code is relaxed with a few rules to follow for safety.

You will also need to be able to:

Lift up to 22 kilograms / 49 pounds
Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shift
Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move stuff around
If there is a need for it, you can get trained to use powered industrial trucks

Basic Qualifications

High school or equivalent diploma
