Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Kennel Assistant and become a vital part of providing exceptional care and support for our furry residents. In this energetic role, you will assist with daily kennel operations, ensure the well-being of animals, and maintain a clean, safe environment. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a positive experience for both pets and their owners, making a real difference in their lives every day.

Responsibilities

Assist with cleaning and disinfecting kennels, cages, and common areas to uphold hygiene standards.
Provide attentive care to animals, including feeding, watering, and monitoring their health and behavior.
Support with exercise routines by walking or playing with animals to promote physical activity and mental stimulation.
Handle heavy lifting tasks such as moving supplies, bedding, or animals safely and efficiently.
Deliver excellent customer service by answering questions from pet owners and providing updates on their pets’ well-being.
Maintain accurate records of animal intake, discharge, and daily activities to ensure proper documentation.
Support team members in emergency situations or when additional assistance is needed to ensure safety for all.

Experience

Previous experience working with animals or in a pet care environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
A proactive attitude with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
Reliable team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment dedicated to animal welfare.
