Job Description:
North Pole Hoops (NPH) is Canada's leading basketball scouting, media, and events organization, dedicated to growing the game and developing basketball talent nationwide.
We are currently hiring Scorekeepers (Stats & Game Leads) to support the Canadian National Invitational Tournament (CNIT), one of Canada's premier youth basketball events. This role is ideal for individuals with basketball knowledge who enjoy working in a fast-paced event environment and are looking to gain valuable experience within the basketball industry.
Schedule
This position is for the duration of the tournament: July 23–26, 2026
Staff should be available for full tournament days, which typically run from approximately 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM. Start and end times may vary by day based on the game schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Operating Score Clock plus Shot Clock or Keep track of the score of middle and high school basketball games on a scorekeeping app
- Interact with participating scorekeeper, referees and other colleagues during the game
- Execute player of the game / Team photos and correspond with Marketing Team
- Clean up the court, preparing it for the next game
- Clean spills / liquids on the rare occasions that they happen on the courts
- Notify team when ice is necessary on the court
- Report directly to Site Manager
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with basketball rules and gameplay.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage and interact with referees, coaches, and players.
- Basic photography skills for capturing game-related images.
- Ability to work independently and make timely decisions.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
