Position Purpose:
The Senior Financial Analyst serves as a senior level subject matter expert within Corporate Finance, leading portfolio-level financial reporting, technical accounting, and profitability analysis. The role develops and supports accounting positions under Public Sector Accounting Standards and provides financial insight to inform forecasting, cost recovery, and performance evaluation. The position also supports finance system implementations and drives improvements to reporting processes and controls across the project finance portfolio.
Please note that the internal title for this role is Project Finance Specialist.
What You Will Do:
- Produce monthly and quarterly management reporting for assigned portfolios, including revenue, cost, and variance analysis.
- Develop and maintain executive-level reporting aligned with financial statements and management reporting.
- Lead technical accounting analysis for complex transactions and support adopted accounting positions.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and financial adjustments to ensure accurate reporting.
- Conduct revenue and profitability analysis to support forecasting and cost recovery decisions.
- Identify financial risks, trends, and variances and provide recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadership and business unit partners.
- Support financial system implementations, enhancements, and testing activities.
- Improve reporting processes, controls, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, auditors, and external partners to support reporting, compliance and decision making.
Who You Are:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- CPA designation (required).
- Several years of progressive experience in technical accounting and financial analysis
- Experience with Public Sector Accounting Standards is an asset.
- Experience in project-based, infrastructure, or asset management environments is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting financial systems or reporting tools is an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

We offer a competitive salary range of $98,200 to $118,900 (P4 level), pay will align with skills, knowledge and experience of the candidate.
