Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Counter Staff member to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling food and beverage orders, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and cashiering, with a strong focus on food safety and sanitation. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in the food industry while contributing to a positive customer experience.

Duties

Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
Prepare and serve food items in accordance with food safety standards
Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently
Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and dining areas
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
Assist with food handling, preparation, and basic kitchen tasks as needed
Ensure all food industry regulations are followed for safety and quality assurance
Provide friendly, attentive service to customers, addressing any questions or concerns

Skills

Experience in food preparation, serving, or restaurant operations preferred
Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
Effective time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous
Excellent communication skills for upselling and engaging with customers

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
