Hi, I’m Kevin Penner, Co-Owner and COO of Meridian Farm Market.

I’ve been with Meridian for over 20 years, and one of the things I’m most proud of isn’t our stores, it’s our people. Today, Meridian operates eight stores and a warehouse across the Lower Mainland, and over the next year we’ll be opening three more locations.
The exciting part is that we’re just getting started.
Our current team has done an incredible job preparing for that growth, but our ambitions go well beyond these next three stores. We’re looking for exceptional leaders who want to help build the future of Meridian.

What We Offer
- Assistant Department Manager: $50,000-$60,000 annually
- Department Manager: $55,000-$70,000 annually, plus profit sharing
- Twice-per-year wage reviews

Key Responsibilities
As a Department Manager or Assistant Department Manager, you will:
- Lead, coach, and develop your department team.
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences through Meridian’s hospitality standards.
- Hire, onboard, train, and mentor team members.
- Build and manage department schedules.
- Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, product rotation, and shrink.
- Maintain outstanding product quality, freshness, merchandising, and presentation.
- Monitor department sales, labour, expenses, and profitability.
- Work closely with Store Managers and Category Managers to improve operations and achieve department goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe department.
- Create a workplace where people enjoy coming to work.
Qualifications
- We’re looking for someone with:
- Retail leadership or management experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for leading people and building strong teams.
- The ability to work at least one weekend day.
- English language proficiency.
