Details:

External Posting #25/26-298E - Relief Bus Driver (Route 405)
Burns Lake Bus Shop
4 hours per day, 5 days per week
Relief position starting as soon as possible, until the regular employee returns

Summary:

Performs a variety of skilled tasks driving regular and scheduled bus routes
Liaises with students, parents, peers, and staff members
Inspection and preventative maintenance on the bus
Curricular and extra-curricular trips when required.

Qualifications:

Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
Valid first aid certificate and CPR training
Courses and training in defensive driving or a combination of training and experience
WHMIS Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures
Six months of demonstrated successful experience driving vehicles requiring BC Class 2 or higher license in all seasons
Valid B.C. Driver's License Class 2 Full Privileged with air endorsement & an exemplary driving record as demonstrated by a current driver's abstract
