About Us
Key-oh Business Development Corporation (KBDC) is a 100% Ts’il Kaz Koh-owned corporation managing the Key-oh Lodge LP portfolio in Burns Lake, BC — which includes the Key-oh Hotel, Key-oh Lodge, and the Keyoh Lounge. We are building something meaningful for a First Nations community and we’re looking for leaders who want to be part of that.
The Role
This is a senior leadership role with full oversight of KBDC’s hospitality portfolio. You’ll oversee the Accommodations Manager and the Restaurant Assistant Manager, leading the teams across the Key-oh Hotel, Key-oh Lodge, and Keyoh Lounge. Working directly with the KBDC General Manager, you’ll set the operational tone for the properties, build a high-performing management team, and play a direct role in growing a community-owned business.

Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
– Oversee full day-to-day operations of the Key-oh Hotel, Lodge, and Keyoh Lounge
– Lead and support the Accommodations Manager and Restaurant Assistant Manager; provide direction, coaching, and performance oversight
– Set and monitor quality and service standards across all properties
– Plan, organize, and evaluate operations with input from the management team
Guest Experience
– Promote guest satisfaction across all properties; address escalated issues effectively
– Foster a guest-centric culture that creates memorable experiences at every touchpoint
– Gather and act on guest feedback to continuously improve
Team & Staff Development
– Cultivate a high-performance, positive work culture across all properties
– Support recruitment, training, coaching, and evaluation of hospitality staff
– Manage staffing schedules and ensure optimal coverage across the portfolio
Finance & Business
– Oversee financial operations: invoice accuracy, cash handling, revenue monitoring
– Support budget preparation and monitoring; identify cost optimization opportunities
– Ensure compliance with all financial policies and Board-approved budgets
– Lead and contribute to marketing, social media, and business development
Inventory & Procurement
– Manage inventory across the portfolio with a preference for Indigenous and local suppliers
What We’re Looking For
– Significant leadership experience in a multi-property or multi-department hospitality setting
– Proven track record leading teams, developing staff, and driving guest satisfaction
– Strong financial acumen: budget management, revenue monitoring, cost control
– Excellent communication at all levels — staff, guests, leadership, and community
– Availability for day and evening shifts across the portfolio
– Experience with Cloudbeds, Sage, or similar systems is an asset
– Knowledge of Ts’il Kaz Koh’s culture and experience working with Indigenous communities
– Valid Class 5 driver’s licence required
– References and satisfactory Criminal Record Check required
