Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Stocker to join our retail team. This role is vital in providing excellent customer service while efficiently managing sales transactions and stock replenishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a positive attitude to ensure a seamless shopping experience for our customers. Bilingual abilities and experience in retail sales or merchandising are considered valuable assets. Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems accurately for cashiering and cash handling, ensuring quick and efficient checkout processes
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with product inquiries, locating items, and offering recommendations
- Upsell products and promote ongoing sales or promotions to enhance customer purchases
- Manage stock levels by replenishing shelves, organizing displays, receiving liquor orders and conducting inventory checks
- Perform product demos when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom areas
- Use technology tools to track inventory, process transactions, and support merchandising efforts
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth store operations
- Handle customer concerns professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or merchandising is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Excellent communication skills to engage with customers confidently and courteously
- Ability to operate POS systems and other retail technology tools effectively
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment with good organizational skills
- Friendly demeanor with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service
