Wire Construction
Wire Construction is seeking an Experienced Fence Builder / Installer to join our growing team. This role will support a variety of commercial, residential, and site development projects throughout the Calgary region, focusing on the installation of high-quality fencing systems in a safe and efficient manner.
The successful candidate will have experience with fence layout, post installation, grading considerations, and operating equipment required for fence construction. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in workmanship, works well within a crew environment, and can adapt to fast-paced construction schedules.

Key Responsibilities
- Install a variety of fencing systems including wood, chain link, vinyl, and construction fencing
- Perform fence layout, measurements, and site preparation
- Set posts, install panels, gates, and associated hardware
- Operate skidsteers, augers, compactors, and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret site drawings, layouts, and grade requirements
- Ensure fence installations meet project specifications and quality standards
- Work collaboratively with site supervisors, labourers, and project teams
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintain tools and equipment in good condition
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and hazard assessment requirements
- Maintain productivity targets while ensuring quality workmanship
- Assist with loading, unloading, material organization, and general site housekeeping
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in commercial or residential construction fence installation
- Experience operating skidsteers, augers, or small equipment considered an asset
- Strong understanding of construction safety practices and procedures
- Ability to read drawings, layouts, and measurements accurately
- Physically capable of performing manual labour in outdoor environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a crew
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Valid driver’s license
