Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Porter to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment to support our culinary staff. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cleanliness and hospitality, with the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Previous restaurant or hotel experience is a plus but not required; a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the food service industry while contributing to a high-quality guest experience.

Responsibilities

Wash, clean, and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment efficiently
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas
Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen staff
Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed
Support the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment
Dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with health and safety standards
Restock supplies and ensure all cleaning tools are properly maintained
Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications

Prior experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory
Knowledge of cleaning procedures and food handling standards is advantageous
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities
Willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations and food safety standards
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending as required
A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
