The Opportunity
We are seeking a hands-on, mechanically and electrically inclined technician to support the assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and field deployment of our electric seismic vibrator systems.
This is not a desk job.
The successful candidate will split their time between our Calgary shop and field operations across North America and internationally. You will work directly with engineers, geophysicists, and field crews to ensure our seismic source technology performs reliably in demanding environments.

Responsibilities Shop Operations:
- Assemble and maintain electric seismic vibrator systems
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Assist with prototype development and system improvements
- Build and test wiring harnesses, power systems, and control systems
- Prepare equipment for field deployment
- Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and consumables
Field Operations
- Mobilize and operate seismic vibrator systems in the field
- Diagnose and repair equipment issues during acquisition projects
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance
- Support field crews during seismic operations
- Complete service reports and maintenance records
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company standards
- Travel to remote project locations as required
Technical Support
- Work with engineering staff to identify and solve equipment issues
- Assist with testing new hardware and software
- Provide feedback for product improvements
- Support commissioning of new systems and technologies
Qualifications Required:
- Diploma or certification in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, Instrumentation, Heavy Equipment Technology, or related field
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience troubleshooting electrical systems
- Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Ability to travel and work in remote locations
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs
