THE ROLE:
Location: Airdrie, AB (office-based with some field involvement as required)

On behalf of our client, Poultry Partners Inc., we are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Nutrition Formulator and Administrative Coordinator to support their poultry feed formulation work and assist with key administrative functions. This role plays an important part in ensuring accurate feed formulations, strong communication with mills and customers, and effective day-to-day administrative operations.
This position combines technical formulation support, data and formula management, customer and supplier coordination, and administrative follow-up. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, formulation software, and detailed documentation while also supporting broader office processes.

Poultry Partners is a collaborative effort between veterinarians, nutritionists and industry experts that fills a unique gap in the Canadian poultry industry. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Feed Formulation and Nutrition Support:
- Enter, update, and maintain poultry feed formulas in formulation software such as BESTMIX or similar programs.
- Track formula changes, approvals, and version history.
- Coordinate formula updates with mills, suppliers, customers, consultants, and internal team members.
- Identify and flag questions or concerns related to ingredients, costs, labels, medications, or formula accuracy.
- Organize lab results, ingredient samples, supplier specifications, and formula documentation.
- Import and manage sample data, lab results, and ingredient information.
- Prepare and review lab reports for mills to ensure nutrient specifications are accurate.
- Maintain well-organized formula files, customer records, supplier documents, and reports.
- Support the development and maintenance of clear internal processes for formula entry, review, approval, and record keeping.
Administrative Support:
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes as required.
- Assist with purchase orders, vendor coordination, customer billing, and follow-up.
- Collect and organize credit card receipts, expense reports, and rebilling documentation as needed.
- Maintain accurate customer, vendor, and internal records.
- Assist with document preparation, meeting notes, reporting, and general office processes.
- Provide additional administrative support to the team as needed.
Communication and Coordination:
- Communicate professionally with mills, suppliers, customers, consultants, and internal team members.
- Follow up on missing information, approvals, formula updates, and documentation requirements.
- Keep leadership informed of urgent or important issues related to customers, formulas, suppliers, or administrative processes.
- All other duties and projects as assigned.
PREFERRED SKILLSET AND PROFILE:
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a role that shifts between technical formulation work and administrative responsibilities. Additional preferred attributes include:

QUALIFICATIONS:
In addition to the above details, other qualifications include:
- Experience with poultry nutrition, feed formulation, feed mills, premixes, supplements, or livestock production (preferred).
- Experience using BESTMIX or similar formulation software (preferred)
- Familiarity with poultry feeding programs (broilers, layers, breeders, and turkeys) (asset).
- Understanding of ingredient specifications, lab results, feed labels, and formulation reports (asset).
- Experience supporting payables, receivables, purchase orders, invoicing, or general office administration (preferred).
- Post-secondary education in animal science, agriculture, nutrition, or a related field (preferred).
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
- Ability to successfully complete required background and driving record checks.
