Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Office Administrator & Data Entry Clerk to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the backbone of our medical practice, ensuring smooth daily operations while maintaining accurate and efficient data management. Your energetic approach and strong organizational skills will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support the clinical team in delivering exceptional care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your administrative expertise within a fast-paced medical setting.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly at the front desk, manage multi-line phone systems, and schedule appointments with enthusiasm and professionalism
Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMRs) using Epic and other healthcare software platforms, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times
Process patient check-ins and check-outs, verify insurance information, and handle billing inquiries efficiently
Enter clinical data into Dentrix dental management software and Epic electronic health records systems with precision
Support the dental receptionist duties by managing patient flow, answering inquiries, and coordinating appointment reminders
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning documents, and managing office supplies to keep the front desk organized
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and office policies

Skills

Proficiency in Epic electronic health record systems and Dentrix dental management software is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical notes and documentation
Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a dental office setting is advantageous
Demonstrated experience with medical office procedures, including appointment scheduling, billing, and insurance verification
Excellent communication skills for handling multi-line phone systems and patient interactions with professionalism
Solid office experience supporting front desk operations in a healthcare environment
Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in data entry tasks
