About the Role
BCW is looking for an organized, detail-oriented Social Media & Marketing Project Coordinator to support our marketing efforts and help deliver our programs and events. This role blends communications work with hands-on program coordination, stakeholder liaison, and reporting.
Marketing & Communications
- Draft and schedule marketing content (emails, newsletters, website updates)
- Coordinate social media content across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook)
- Create content such as videos and posters for each of our different programs, and ensure timely posting across all platforms
- Support promotion of programs, events, and initiatives
- Maintain brand consistency across all communications
- Coordinate with external designers or communications specialists as needed
- Prepare simple marketing materials (flyers, posters, digital assets, videos, reels) for approval
- Update website and social media platforms
Note: Public-facing materials require leadership approval before publication.
Program Coordination & Delivery
- Support planning, coordination, and delivery of programs and events
- Assist with participant recruitment, registration, and onboarding
- Maintain program schedules, calendars, and logistics
- Coordinate facilitators, speakers, and partners
- Support delivery of workshops, training sessions, and community events
- Track attendance and participation data
- Assess and develop key processes for quality programming
Stakeholder & Partner Support
- Liaise with partners, vendors, and service providers
- Draft routine emails and follow-ups with participants and partners
- Support community outreach and engagement activities
- Maintain contact lists and stakeholder databases
Reporting & Documentation
- Collect and organize program data for reporting
- Support preparation of internal and funder reports
- Maintain organized records (program files, communications, attendance)
- Document activities, outcomes, and lessons learned
Administrative Support
- Support scheduling and meeting coordination
- Assist with invoicing, expense tracking, and basic budget support (as directed)
- Maintain shared folders and internal documents
- Use productivity tools (including ChatGPT) to support drafting and documentation
Other Duties
- May be asked to support other duties and tasks as assigned by leadership or as organizational needs arise
Experience & Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or program/event coordination
- Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated experience managing social media accounts and creating content for a brand or organization
- Proficiency with design tools such as Canva (experience with Adobe Suite an asset)
- Experience with short-form video creation and editing (reels/TikToks)
- Working knowledge of scheduling/productivity tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Google Workspace, ChatGPT)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- French proficiency is an asset
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and deadlines simultaneously
