We are seeking a proactive and customer focused part-time Duty Manager, to join our Member Services Team. As a Duty Manager you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth day-to-day Club operations, delivering outstanding customer service, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all members and guests. You will be an essential member of the team, serving as a frontline representative of Club management and efficiently addressing inquiries and concerns from members, employees, and guests. Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of members, guests, and employees by applying fire, safety, accident prevention, first aid, and emergency response procedures, while conducting regular facility inspections and enforcing safety standards.
- Oversee daily facility operations to maintain a clean, safe, well-maintained, and welcoming environment, ensuring equipment and amenities are operational and ready for use.
- Serve as a visible and approachable leadership presence, responding promptly to member, guest, and employee concerns, resolving disputes when needed, and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Uphold Club policies, rules, and standards of conduct, ensuring compliance and documenting incidents, violations, maintenance issues, and member feedback as required.
- Develop proficiency in Club systems, including Northstar, System Admin, and Resolver, to support membership services, program registrations, operational processes, and incident management.
- Collaborate with departments across the Club to support events, promotions, and daily operations, while maintaining required certifications and cross-training to provide frontline coverage and operational support to other departments, as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma is required
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a recreation, customer service, or similar environments is an asset
- Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm and effective during emergencies and challenging situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and interact professionally with members, guests, employees, and stakeholders of all ages.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and utilize facility management, membership, and incident management software.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and emergency response procedures, including the ability to enforce policies and promote a safe environment.
- Must be comfortable standing or walking during the length of shift, be able to lift supplies weighing up to 50lbs and be able to respond quickly to incidents and operational needs throughout the facility.
- Current ProServe, First Aid, and CPR certifications are considered assets.

Additional Details:
This is a part-time position that reports to the Duty Manager Supervisor. The primary hours for this position are weekday evenings and weekends, however flexibility is required to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as Respect in the Workplace and Respect in Sport certifications, prior to commencing employment.
