The Opportunity
The role of IT Manager will guide the technological direction for the Deveraux Group of Companies in the delivery of scalable IT solutions. Working in collaboration with a dedicated team and an external Managed Service Provider (MSP), the role is accountable in overseeing the planning and execution of new initiatives while ensuring existing systems remain reliable, well maintained, and continuously improved.

What you bring...
Formal Education or Equivalent
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Years of Experience
-
5-8 years in IT management or Business Systems roles, preferably within the construction or property management industries.
-
Experience in coaching and managing technical support staff.
-
Working knowledge of Yardi is an asset
-
Hands on IT operations experience
-
Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, endpoint technologies, and collaboration tools.

Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and other AI-powered workplace tools, including evaluating, enabling, and supporting adoption in a business environment.

Experience working in real estate/property management is an asset
Specialized skills, knowledge or certifications unique to this role

Experience in an IT management role in complex business environments

Experience with IT cost management including budgeting, benchmarking, performance tracking, and various management accounting techniques

- Oversee both day-to-day IT Operations and Service Delivery
-
Lead and coach support team, providing direction, development, and performance management to support strong delivery across both project and support activities
-
Manage our MSP to deliver exceptional, responsive service to various stakeholders.
-
Review and approve IT-related hardware and software purchases within established budgetary limits
-
Contribute to the development of technology strategies and roadmaps that support modernization and evolving capabilities across various entities.
-
Develop and implement IT Acceptable Use Policies, specifically surrounding AI usage and data security.
-
Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency, compliance, and operational excellence.
-
Collaborate with the CFO to manage cybersecurity risk and ensure compliance for insurance and regulatory requirements.
-
Develop and manage device lifecycle and refresh strategies including asset inventory, standardizing device models and configurations.
-
Promote systems and practices that enable secure systems including cybersecurity training and best practices.

Collaborate with external vendors and service providers, managing contracts, SLAs, and overall vendor performance
