We are seeking an IT Project Coordinator to support a high-impact virtual learning initiative for a post-secondary environment. This role will lead discovery, requirements definition, and RFP development for a virtual delivery studio and connected classroom technology solution.
This position requires a strong hybrid skillset across project coordination, business analysis, and stakeholder engagement, as there is no dedicated Project Manager assigned. This is a full-time, 3-month contract, working 37.5 hours per week, with onsite presence required in Calgary.
Key Responsibilities
Lead workshops and stakeholder sessions to gather and document business and technical requirements
Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications
Act as project coordinator, managing timelines, deliverables, and status updates
Support development of RFP documentation (scope, evaluation criteria, vendor approach)
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with standards
Review design plans and provide input on AV / classroom technology requirements
Conduct research on comparable virtual learning and AV delivery models
Ensure requirements traceability through solution design, procurement, and implementation
Identify risks, dependencies, and operational impacts (support, training, sustainment)
Qualifications
5–8+ years experience in IT project coordination and/or business analysis
Proven experience in requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement
Experience supporting RFP or procurement processes
Strong ability to work across business and technical teams
Comfortable operating with high ownership in the absence of a PM
Nice to have:
Exposure to AV systems, virtual classrooms, or learning technologies
Experience in post-secondary, public sector, or large enterprise environments
