As an Associate Graphic Designer, a typical day might include:

Visual Communication– Strong understanding of layout, typography, color, and brand application across digital and print.
Design Execution - Creating visual assets for digital and print, including brochures, social media graphics, ads, proposals, presentations, website graphics, formal documents, and other marketing collateral.
Brand Application - Applying brand guidelines consistently across all materials. Help maintain and evolve brand identity. Empower internal teams and external stakeholders to use our brand effectively.
Creative Development - Helping evolve and strengthen the Axis visual brand by identifying opportunities for improvement. Drive creative direction with strong visual concepts.
Stakeholder Communication - Interpreting briefs and feedback from internal teams. Turn ideas into clear, professional design outputs.
Market Awareness - Staying up to date with design trends, tools, and best practices, applying relevant insights to improve output.
Manage Multiple Projects - Prioritize tasks and balance multiple design deliverables with competing deadlines.

Must haves:

Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably within financial services, professional services, or B2B sectors
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Marketing, Media, or a related field considered an asset but not required

Want a leg up?

Agency experience considered an asset
Experience using project management platforms (We use Smartsheet)
Experience developing multimedia content including motion graphics, videos and animation
