Accounting Clerk

Location: Calgary, AB
Work Model: Hybrid (2-3 days in office per week)

Rhodium Digital is expanding its service offerings with the launch of a dedicated Managed Accounting Services division, providing outsourced accounting and bookkeeping support to both existing and new clients. As a trusted technology and management consulting firm, Rhodium Digital helps organizations optimize their financial and operational performance through ERP systems, financial technologies, and business transformation services.

Role Overview

The Accounting Clerk will play a key role in delivering these managed accounting services by performing day-to-day accounting functions for a portfolio of clients. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, supporting month-end activities, and ensuring compliance with established accounting procedures. Working closely with clients, accountants, and consultants, the Accounting Clerk will help provide reliable financial information that supports sound business decision-making and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Prepare and post journal entries as directed.
Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Process payroll information and maintain payroll records.
Prepare routine financial reports and schedules.
Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on collections.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of accounting data.
Support tax, audit, and compliance requirements by gathering required documentation.
Maintain client files and ensure confidentiality of financial information.
Communicate with clients regarding financial records, transaction inquiries, and documentation requests.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting as required.
Utilize accounting software and cloud-based financial systems to manage client accounts.

Qualifications & Experience

Accounting diploma or equivalent training
Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience
Full-cycle accounting experience
Professional cloud-based accounting or ERP systems is an asset

Skills & Attributes

Knowledge of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple client accounts and competing priorities.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Location & Work Arrangement

Hybrid model of 2–3 days per week in the Calgary office (903 8th Avenue SW)
