Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented X-Ray Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily X-rays, to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent patient care skills, and adherence to safety protocols to ensure high-quality imaging services. The X-Ray Technologist will work closely with medical staff to provide accurate imaging results in a professional and compassionate manner.

Duties

Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Operate X-ray equipment to capture diagnostic images according to physician orders and established protocols.
Ensure proper positioning of patients to obtain clear and accurate images.
Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance.
Follow strict safety guidelines to protect patients, staff, and oneself from unnecessary radiation exposure.
Review images for quality assurance before forwarding them to physicians for diagnosis.
Keep detailed records of procedures performed, patient information, and equipment maintenance logs.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health regulations.
Stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) or equivalent credential recognized by relevant licensing boards.
Proficiency in medical terminology is highly desirable.
Prior experience working with X-ray equipment and performing diagnostic imaging procedures is preferred.
Strong understanding of radiation safety standards and protocols.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients.
Compassionate approach with a focus on patient care and comfort.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and assist patients as needed.
