We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities and Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and operational upkeep of our growing portfolio of assets.
This role is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations across Luxuria Group's portfolio of commercial properties, residential assets, automotive collision repair facilities, and future operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing preventative maintenance programs, repairs, contractor management, inspections, emergency response, and facility operations. This position is ideal for an individual who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent organizational, vendor management, and problem-solving skills
Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Construction, the Site Supervisor for our Commercial and Townhome site is responsible to oversee construction projects and ensure that projects are completed safely, on time and within the budget scope and timeline. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills and an in-depth understanding of commercial construction processes.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage preventative maintenance programs and schedules across commercial properties, residential assets, automotive facilities, and operational sites.
- Perform and oversee day-to-day maintenance activities, repairs, and general facility upkeep.
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, landscaping, snow removal, cleaning, and specialty trades.
- Conduct regular inspections of company-owned properties, facilities, equipment, and assets to identify maintenance requirements and deficiencies.
- Manage inspections, compliance requirements, maintenance records, warranties, service agreements, and asset documentation.
- Respond to and coordinate after-hours emergency calls, urgent repairs, and on-call maintenance requirements.
- Develop scopes of work, obtain and evaluate quotations, review service proposals, and manage vendor relationships.
- Manage maintenance budgets, purchasing activities, inventory, and cost-control initiatives.
- Utilize and maintain work order systems to prioritize, assign, track, and ensure completion of maintenance requests and tasks.
- Monitor building systems and coordinate repairs, upgrades, replacements, and capital maintenance projects as required.
- Coordinate and oversee exterior property maintenance services, including landscaping, grounds maintenance, parking lot maintenance, and snow removal operations.
- Conduct seasonal property reviews and coordinate exterior maintenance requirements to ensure company properties remain safe, functional, and professionally maintained year-round.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in compliance with applicable legislation, codes, regulations, and company policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce maintenance costs, and extend the life of company assets.
- Support the development and future facility operation, including maintenance planning, operational readiness, and ongoing facility support.
- Provide recommendations and reporting to leadership regarding maintenance activities, asset conditions, vendor performance, and operational improvements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in facilities management, building maintenance, property operations, construction, or a related field.
- Experience overseeing commercial and residential properties is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance practices.
- Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, landscaping providers, and snow removal is considered an asset
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintenance requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance management or work order tracking systems.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to participate in on-call and emergency response activities when required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with tenants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
