Full job description

Higher Ground Consulting (HGC) is seeking an experienced Accounting Administrator to support our financial department. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is pivotal in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This role is responsible for supporting the financial operations of Higher Ground Consulting's Calgary office, with a primary focus on the accurate and efficient management of financial transactions and administrative tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

Processing of company accounts receivables
Back up support of accounts payable
Posting and verifying financial transactions
Generate and manage invoices
Data entry into a 3rd party platform.
Tracking Purchase and change orders
Manage employee expenses and cheque runs
Handle project profitability and assist in opening new projects
Carry out general administrative tasks within the Calgary office
Sort and manage incoming mail and deliveries
Document control
Provide day-to-day support to the Finance Manager and VP of Finance and Admin

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:

Up to 3 years accounting experience
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent organization and time management skills
General computer literacy in a PC environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, as well as Adobe.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written).
Flexible and open to changing priorities and multi-tasking.
Able to effectively work independently as well as within a team.
Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.
Experience with ERP software/ OpenInvoice/Cortex/Ariba would be a plus.
Legally authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis without restrictions
