Job Summary

Join our vibrant culinary team as a Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently! In this vital role, you'll be the backbone of our food service operation, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are spotless and ready for use. Your proactive approach will support our chefs and restaurant staff in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This paid position offers a dynamic environment where teamwork, cleanliness, and food safety are at the forefront of every shift.

Duties

Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen tools to uphold hygiene standards
Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling tasks under supervision
Support kitchen staff by maintaining a clean work environment and ensuring all surfaces are sanitized regularly
Help with food storage by organizing ingredients and supplies in designated areas
Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and used appropriately to promote food safety
Follow proper waste disposal procedures to maintain a tidy workspace
Collaborate with team members to meet service demands efficiently during busy hours

Requirements

Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting moderate loads
Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail-oriented work ethic
Basic understanding of kitchen operations including dishwashing, sanitation, and food prep assistance
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
