Overview
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our transportation team. Duties
- Safely operate your own commercial vehicle to transport freight to designated destinations
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on your vehicle to ensure optimal performance
- Manage freight documentation, delivery schedules, and route planning for timely service
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and any issues encountered
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license preferred
- Proficiency in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards
- Basic automotive repair skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues
- Strong organizational skills for route planning and documentation management
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with team members and clients
