Full job description

Job Summary
StoneCroft is seeking an Assistant to the Controller on a full-time permanent basis, to be a key member of our dynamic team of professional and technical staff. The successful candidate will report to the Controller and support the entire team in daily execution of engineering consulting services for our valued clients. StoneCroft will provide training in all facets of the job. This position will be based out of our Campbell River office.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Working collaboratively as part of a team of professionals, technologists and drafters
Accounts payable
Reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts
Bi-weekly payroll processing
Monthly invoicing
Regular bookkeeping and month end journal entries
Human resources administrative tasks
Other administrative activities, as required

Qualifications

A related degree, diploma, certificate or other education in business administration, office management or accounting/bookkeeping
Excellent client service, interpersonal and teamwork skills
Solution-oriented approach to every day tasks
Excellent oral and written communication in English
A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence (or equivalent)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills
Previous commensurate experience

Compensation

Competitive wages commensurate with qualifications, ability and experience; $28-40/hour
