Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Teacher to join our private Kindergarten team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for young children. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with children, utilize your teaching skills, and contribute to their developmental growth. Bilingual abilities, especially in English and French, are highly valued. The position requires a flexible schedule and a genuine interest in working with young learners.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
Engage children in educational activities that stimulate creativity and curiosity
Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as needed
Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment respecting diverse backgrounds and abilities
Collaborate with colleagues to organize classroom activities and school events
Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and other relevant documentation
Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and classroom updates
Incorporate technology tools such as Microsoft Office applications to prepare educational materials and reports
Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities to meet individual requirements
Uphold all safety protocols and health guidelines to ensure the well-being of children and staff

Experience

Prior experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred
Classroom experience in early childhood education or similar environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of teaching methods for young learners, including those with special needs or disabilities
Bilingual proficiency in English and French is a significant advantage
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues
Familiarity with computer skills such as Microsoft Office Suite for lesson planning and record keeping
Experience with tutoring or working one-on-one with children can be beneficial
Organizational skills and time management are important for balancing multiple responsibilities effectively

Pay: $34,000.00 per year
