About the Role
RTRC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee civil construction and earthworks projects from pre construction through completion. This position is responsible for managing project execution, budgets, schedules, client relationships, and field operations while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.
The successful candidate will provide leadership to project teams, coordinate with clients and stakeholders, and play a key role in supporting business development opportunities and strategic growth initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Bid preparation and estimating
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of civil construction and earthworks projects
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and profitability
- Develop and maintain project schedules and resource allocation plans
- Provide leadership and direction to site supervisors, foremen, and field crews
- Review contracts, specifications, drawings, and project requirements
- SITE SURVEYING INCLUDING TOPOGRAPHICAL SURVEY, STAKING + LAYOUT AND AS-BUILTING
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal resources
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project partners
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Monitor project performance, productivity, quality control, and safety compliance
- Lead project meetings and provide regular reporting to management and clients
- Assist with business development efforts and identify opportunities for future work
- Ensure all project documentation, change orders, progress claims, and closeout requirements are completed accurately and on timeQualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience in civil construction, earthworks, infrastructure, or related industries
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, safety regulations, and project controls
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
- Ability to work both in the office and on project sites as required
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project locations
