HR/Payroll Assistant - NEW Position!

Heavy Metal Equipment is seeking an enthusiastic, results-driven individual looking to build their career in Payroll & Human Resources as a HR/PAYROLL Assistant to join our team in our Camrose, Alberta location.

This is an entry-level position, where we will provide training and support to the right candidate to grow their career along with us.

The Job:

The HR/Payroll Assistant is an extremely important position within our organization who is initially responsible for:

Ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time
Maintaining HR and payroll information, by collecting, calculating, entering, and maintaining data with exceptional accuracy and efficiency
Learning and participating in Human Resource functions related to payroll and the overall employee experience

The candidate will typically work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. However, the HR/Payroll Assistant is expected to adjust their schedule on occasion to meet the demands and timelines of the position.

To be successful in this position, it is helpful to have:

A High School Diploma or equivalent
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products and database computer programs; experience with ADP would be an asset
Demonstrated high standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information
Exceptional attention to detail
Highly pro-active, solution focused and problem-solving skills
Exceptional organization and follow-through
Ability to adapt and thrive in changing environments quickly, analyze and assess information and make appropriate recommendations and prioritize tasks accordingly

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
