Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. This role involves preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meal preparation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure high-quality food service.
Help with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal food quality.
Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for cash handling and transactions.
Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, kitchen, and dining spaces.
Assist in restocking supplies and inventory management.
Handle customer inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.

Experience

Skills

Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment.
Strong knowledge of food handling, safety, and sanitation practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
Familiarity with various cooking techniques and equipment.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately.
Previous experience in the food service or food industry is preferred.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
A friendly demeanor with excellent communication skills to interact with customers.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards.
