We have an exciting career opportunity for a talented hospitality professional with a passion for quality and hospitality. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, an eye for detail, exceptional communication skills and a commitment to excellence. They will also demonstrate humility combined with passion, dedication, and a positive & optimistic attitude.

Tasks and Areas of Responsibility:

Maintains the hotel rooms and building to ensure a safe and clean experience for hotel guests, associates and vendors.
Inspects guest rooms and public areas

o Rooms – daily (minimum req. to be established)

o Public Areas – a quick visual each shift, a formal / thorough inspection by-weekly at each property

Inspects door and window locks to ensure they are in working order and immediately alerts management to an unsecured or unsafe situation for the safety of guests and employees.
Submit Maintenance Requests (Work Orders) in a timely manner for any deficiencies in the guest rooms or public areas
Communicate effectively with Front Desk to ensure that rooms are cleaned
Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

Shifts vary; include weekdays, weekends and holidays. They may be required to push, pull and lift items weighing up to 30 lbs.

Qualifications:

Required:

Able to communicate clearly in English – orally and written and effectively communicate with guests and associates.
Provide feedback regarding Room Attendants and Custodial staff in a professional and timely manner that assists in maintain exceptional cleanliness in all areas of the hotel to the supervisor.
Comfortable using web based programs
Independent, able to manage time effectively

Assets:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous experience cleaning guest rooms in a hotel or resident building
Current First Aid & CPR

Expectations:

Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
Actively seek opportunities to improve overall guest satisfaction and share the knowledge and ideas with the Housekeeping Team
Actively participate in the Health and Safety Program
Actively participate in the monthly Housekeeping Department meetings
Communicate effectively and in a timely and efficient manner with the Executive Housekeeper and the Front Desk Supervisors
