Motel Manager – Exciting Renovation & Rebranding Opportunity
Lead the Transformation of Motel Bo in Camrose, Alberta
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Motel Manager to lead the renovation, repositioning, and ongoing operation of Motel Bo.
This is not a typical motel management role. We are looking for a hands-on leader who is excited by the opportunity to help transform an existing property into a refreshed and successful hospitality destination. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing renovations, building a strong team, implementing operational standards, and driving the property's long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day motel operations
- Assist with renovation planning and property transition initiatives
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop motel team members
- Manage front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services departments
- Drive guest satisfaction and online review performance
- Monitor budgets, labour costs, and operating expenses
- Develop local business relationships and community partnerships
- Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company standards
- Identify opportunities to increase occupancy, revenue, and profitability
- Work closely with ownership and senior leadership on strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- Previous motel or hotel management experience required
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Experience managing property budgets, labour, and operational performance
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to improve guest satisfaction and operational results
- Experience with property management systems is considered an asset
- Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability
- Renovation, reopening, or property transition experience is considered a strong asset
