Production Worker/ Recycle
Centra Cam Social Enterprise Ltd. (CCSEL) is seeking a motivated and dependable Production Worker to join our Recycle team. This non-supervisory support position is responsible for sorting and processing recyclable materials, operating equipment, providing excellent customer service, and supporting confidential document destruction services. The successful player will be a team player who is physically capable of performing manual labour and is willing to temporarily support other CCSEL locations when operational needs arise.
Responsibilities:
· Efficiently sort and process recyclable materials received at the Recycle facility.
· Operate recycling equipment including balers, pallet jacks, pallet wrappers.
· Prepare recyclable materials for shipment.
· Complete confidential shred and supply pick ups as required.
· Perform scheduled depot checks.
· Provide prompt, courteous, and professional customer service.
· Maintain the cleanliness of the facility, equipment, and recycling yard.
· Complete required documentation, including checklists, travel logs, and safety forms.
· Follow all CCSEL policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
· Attend meetings and required training.
· Assist other CCSEL departments and locations as operational needs require.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Forklift Certification required.
· Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License with an acceptable Driver’s Abstract.
· First Aid/CPR Certification considered an asset.
· Experience working in a recycling, warehouse, manufacturing, or production environment is considered an asset.
· Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Effective time management and organizational skills.
· Knowledge of basic health and safety practices.
Requirements:
· Acceptable Police Information Check
· Ability to perform physically demanding work, including frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, reaching, gripping, and standing throughout the workday.
· Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
· Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing protection and steel toed safety boots.
· All employees at this facility are required to undergo periodic hearing evaluations.
· Ability to work a rotating schedule, including every second Saturday.
· Willingness to temporarily work at other CCSEL locations as operational needs require.
Wages are dependent on qualifications, education & experience (7.5 hr/day).
Centra Cam offers a benefits package after 3 months of successful employment.
