Classic Landscapes is offering a structured 4-Year Apprenticeship Program designed to take you from entry-level installer to Red Seal Landscaper and crew leader within a growing, high-end residential landscaping company.
Classic Landscapes is looking for Landscape Apprentices to join our company apprenticeship program. The program is a 4 year career development opportunity that combines work experience and education.
You’ll spend the spring, summer, and fall (28 weeks) working hands-on in building patios, walkways, retaining walls, garden beds, and more. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals who are dedicated to quality craftsmanship, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
During the winter you'll spend 8-9 weeks in school at RRC in the Landscape Technician program (completely paid for and EI eligible - get paid to go to school!) , 8-9 weeks off (typically December and January) and spend the remainder of the winter (7-8 weeks) working on additional supplementary training and shop work.
As you advance through the program you'll receive increased compensation, as well as bonuses for each completed level. When completed you will be a Red Seal Landscaper and can expect a full time position in a leadership role within our company.

What You’ll Do In your First Season:
To start you will work the install season as an entry level Landscape Installer. This will give you an opportunity to learn about the trade, try it out, and serve as probationary period prior to entering the formal education portion of the program. During year 1 you can expect to do the following:
- Assist in setting up work sites by preparing tools, unloading materials, and ensuring safe access.
- Operate tools and equipment such as packers, concrete saws, shovels, drills, and more (training provided).
- Install softscape elements such as garden beds, edging, sod, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
- Help with hardscape installations, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and stone features.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, ensuring tools are stored properly and sites are left in excellent condition.
- Work efficiently with your team to complete high-quality projects on schedule.

WORK SCHEDULE:
During Install season Approx 28 weeks (mid April - mid November):
- Monday-Friday, 7:15 AM start time (Occasional Saturdays if needed due to weather delays)
- 50-55 hours per week (Overtime paid after 10 hours/day or 50 hours/week)
During Off season (mid November - mid April)
- 8-9 Weeks at RRC (no cost to you plus get paid EI while in school!)
- 8-9 Weeks OFF (usually December and January)
- 7-8 Weeks Winter Work - 25-30 hours per week (additional training and shop work)
